A Summer Space for Sound, Thanks to Carnicería El Camino

At Desert Sounds, we know that music takes more than instruments and instruction—it takes space, support, and a community that believes in what’s possible.

This summer, thanks to the generous support of Carnicería El Camino, our mariachi program had a home. Their donation covered the costs of instruction for the Pendergrast Elementary School students in our program, many of whom have been participating for the last three years.

It may seem like a logistical detail, but for our students, having a consistent space to gather, rehearse, and feel supported is everything. It’s where skills sharpen, friendships form, and confidence takes root.

We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Carnicería El Camino for stepping up and investing in something that goes far beyond music. Their generosity helped us create an environment where culture is celebrated, and kids feel seen.
